Thank you for checking us out. "Neet" Ideas started out in 1984 as Anita's Gifts. It has been growing along with our family since then. I'm a firm believer in the saying: "Everything in this world happens for a reason and it is all in God's plan." Well, Over the years in this business, every time my children or my grandchildren or other family members or friends have needed anything, it seems that just when I can't come up with anymore new inspiration, it hits me (usually at 3 in the morning and I get up, have coffee, and start making it) and its usually done before I get up.  My mother taught me to crochet and sew as a young teen.  I taught myself awhile ago how to do plastic canvas,  embroidery,  and fabric painting. In 1984, my mother-in-law & I joined a ceramics class and I realized then that I had way too much talent with my painting ability. My business was born when I had 188 done ceramic pieces left in January of 1985 after I had given a bunch to family and friends for Christmas. Since then, alot of my inspiration has grown with my two teenagers so they both grew up with this business. My daughter has been my cashier since she was 7, is now 20 and making her own jewelry (See Beckeys Jewelry page in On-line catalog on this website).  My 22 yr old son does the cutting & sanding and building wooden things for me. He also is quite talented.  We are always teaching ourselves new crafts. So you tell us what you want and I am pretty sure that if we can't make it then it can't be done. (Exceptions to that last statement: We don't knit, quilt, work with glass or stained glass.) One more thing, just so you know, over the years most of my customers have become my friends.
