Latest site update is: June 2010. Well, alot going on> just finished painting 3 bud vases (for sale at local events only so not putting them in catalog (they are very breakable)). Also many people, for years, have been asking me to crochet double kitchen towels. One is finally done and now I got to do a bunch more..will get them on here as soon as I complete them. Right now you can find us at the Lyons Farmers Market on Saturdays (unless it is raining)..go to events calendar for the dates. Over the next few months will be making major changes here. Hello All, Neet Ideas has teamed up with my friends Scott and Amy at Foxfire Stables to give them a much needed Web pressence. Non profit organization that is doing Equine and Animal Rescue and also animal therapy for the physically, emotional,social, cognitive and developmental challenged. Basically in a nutshell, helping animals be loved and people that need help feeling loved and useful. Click on the horse picture to go to our page.

About Us

Thank you for checking us out. "Neet" Ideas started out in 1984 as Anita's Gifts. It has been growing along with our family since then. I'm a firm believer in the saying: "Everything in this world happens for a reason and it is all in God's plan." Well, Over the years in this business, everytime my children or my grandchildren or other family members or friends have needed anything, it seems that just when I can't come up with anymore new inspiration, it hits me (usually at 3 in the morning and I get up, have coffee, and start making it) and its usually done before I get the kids up for school. My mother taught me to crochet and sew as a young teen. I taught myself awhile ago how to do plastic canvas, embroidery, and fabric painting. In 1984, my mother-in-law & I joined a ceramics class and I realized then that I had way too much talent with my painting ability. My business was born when I had 188 done ceramic pieces left in January of 1985 after I had given a bunch to family and friends for Christmas. Since then, alot of my inspiration has grown with my two teenagers so they both grew up with this business. My daughter has been my cashier since she was 7, is now 18 and making her own jewelry (See Beckeys Jewelry page in On-line catalog on this website). She also does myspace website design too. My 20 yr old son is now cutting & sanding and building wooden things for me. He also is quite talented. We are always teaching ourselves new crafts. So you tell us what you want and I am pretty sure that if we can't make it then it can't be done. (Exceptions to that last statement: We don't knit, quilt, work with glass or stained glass.) One more thing, just so you know, over the years most of my customers have become my friends. My coffee pot is always on. Have a great day and May God Bless you. UPDATED & NEW PICTURES Click on Patrick here to go to Eagle Scout Project Page! Court of Honor was held August 25th. I cooked for 80 people...it was fun. Pictures will be here soon.

To everyone that is wondering... Patrick is an Eagle Scout as of June 5th, 2007. I am so proud of him.

His project is doing some repair work at the local Senior Center. He is fixing the boards on the porch and handicapped ramp. Sanding & painting the whole porch and ramp. He is adding some flowers to their front gardens and fixing their small parking lot. These are just a few of the pictures that he has taken of the before project.
